Do you need a Visa to enter Taiwan?
Nationals of the following countries are able to stay in Taiwan up to 90 days without Visa, there are:
Andorra, Australia, Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Canada, Croatia, Cyprus Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Iceland, Ireland, Israel, Italy, Japa, Republic of Korea, Latvia, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Monaco, the Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Romania, San Marino, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, U.K., U.S.A., and Vatican City State.

Citizen from Malaysia and Singapore are able to stay in Taiwan up to 30 days without Visa.

Nationals of Brunei Darussalam, Republic of Turkey and Republic of Macedonia are eligible to apply for "Landing Visa" at The Visa Office of Consular Affairs Bureau at Taoyuan International Airport upon arrival.
If you enter Taiwan from Taipei Song Shan Airport, Taichung Airport and Kaohsiung International Airport you only apply for "temporary entry Permit" at the Border Affairs Corporation of National Immigration Agency. For this application please note that you have to bring the "temporary entry permit" to apply for Visa again once you are into Taiwan, you need to apply Visa as soon as possible at the Bureau of Consular Affairs office in Taipei or at either branch offices of the Ministry of Foreign Aggairs in Taichung or Kaohsiung, this is to make sure that you leave a bad record in Taiwan for not doing so.
In case of long Taiwan national holiday, you may process to Taoyuan Airport to apply for it.
So we suggest that best is to fly to Taipei and settle the Visa at Taoyuan Airport, it save you the trouble and valuable time for running around to apply for Visa again.

Things and Points to note once you get into Taiwan:
Make sure you don't over stay, there will be a penalty for over stay.
You are to make sure that you are not eligible to work in Taiwan for the period of your stay.
If you lost your passport, report to nearest police station and contact your embassy or missions in Taiwan. You may find out your country embassy or missions from this link.
Upon your depature you no need to fill in departure card anymore. (You fill in the arrival card when you get into Taiwan and there will be no carbon copy for depature card)
